The artist then applies a variety of colors and finishes. These patinas are then secured by a clear powder coating to maintain the color and to eliminate the skin changing colors when the piece is worn.

The next two images are hand-raised using an ancient technique call anticlastic raising.  Each of these anticlastic necklaces are hand-formed from a flat sheet of metal and has been hammered approximately 1500 times around an antler-like form to create these organic natural shapes. The clasp is also a hand raised piece that is inserted around the curved end to create a cohesive continual look. The artist then applies a variety of colors and finishes. These patinas are then secured by a clear powder coating to maintain the color and to eliminate the skin changing colors when the piece is worn.

Inspired Quilted Pendants
The next designs you see here (the round sewn shapes toward the bottom of the page) are a series inspired by the artist's grandmother who was a quilter.  Each brass or silver dome shape is woven with sterling silver wire. A different finish is then applied to secure the color and insure the skin isn't effected by the metal.

Animal Line Drawing Pendants
The silver animal shapes you see here are from the artist's Animal Line Drawing Series. Each of these are an original design that are handmade and then cast by the artist. Custom work is quoted after an initial interview. A non-refundable design fee is collected (typically 1/3 of the total) for work to begin.

Pattie can either communicate with you in person or online to discuss your idea. She will then create her interpretation of the design through the anticlastic raising technique.
